This has been a great year for advanced care at Liberty Hospital. Liberty Hospital and MU Orthopaedic Surgeons have partnered to provide advanced orthopaedic and sports medicine care in the Northland. Our joint effort in orthopaedics can treat everything from sports injuries to total joint replacement. The newest, fellowship-trained member of the MU Orthopaedic Surgeons team is Dr. Chris Reams, who specializes in shoulders and elbows. This partnership, when combined with our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facilities at Norterre, advances the hospital’s focus on providing exceptional health and wellness care for our patients.

We also are excited about our recent collaboration with William Jewell College to become the exclusive sports medicine provider for Jewell student athletes. This enables us to provide high-quality sports medicine and healthcare to 400 students.

Liberty Hospital continues our commitment to the Liberty community as we prepare for upcoming events including the Liberty Fall Festival, Trunk or Treat and Trucks (Oct. 26), and the 4th annual Liberty Hospital Half Marathon and Jewell 5K (March 7, 2020).

Finally, we are proud to be recognized this year for our award-winning care.
• The American College of Cardiology named Liberty Hospital as one of the nation’s top performing hospitals for heart attack treatment.
• This year Liberty Hospital again was awarded “Best of the Northland” by the Courier-Tribune
• We became the first hospital in the Northland to achieve Level II designations from Missouri’s Time Critical Diagnosis (TCD) System for all three diagnoses: trauma, stroke and STEMI (heart attack).
