Animal Health International Announces Expansion in Liberty
We are excited to announce that Animal Health International (AHI), a subsidiary of Patterson Companies, Inc., is significantly expanding its operations in Liberty, Missouri. This growth will see AHI increase its warehouse space from 95,000 to 225,000 square feet and its workforce from 40 to 65 employees over time. The new facility, located in the Liberty Heartland Logistics Center, will allow AHI to better serve its distribution network across the U.S. This expansion reinforces Liberty’s reputation as a prime location for logistics and manufacturing, and we are proud to support AHI’s continued success in the community.
This development not only strengthens AHI’s operational capacity but also reflects the ongoing economic growth and business-friendly environment in Liberty.

LIBERTY, Mo. – The City of Liberty, Liberty Economic Development Corporation and Animal Health International (AHI), a subsidiary of Patterson Companies, Inc. (Nasdaq: PDCO), are proud to announce the company will expand its presence in Liberty from 95,000 square feet and 40 employees to 225,000 square feet and 65 employees over time.
“Liberty has been great to AHI, and we want to be a part of this community in the future,” Jim Reed, Regional Operations Manager. “It’s a town with incredible work ethic that creates lots of career opportunities for the residents, and we’re proud to play a role in their success.”
The current facility in Heartland Meadows Industrial Park operates at 92-98% capacity. At 95,000 square feet, the building’s size makes it impossible for the company to expand. The new building, located just a quarter mile away in the new Liberty Heartland Logistics Center, built by The Opus Group, is almost three times the size, allowing AHI to merge its previous warehouse and storage space and provides plenty of opportunity for the company to grow.
“Liberty is nationally recognized as a prime location for manufacturing and distribution with a welcoming business environment,” said Liberty Mayor Greg Canuteson. “We are proud to offer opportunities for the businesses in our community to stay here in Liberty, grow with our City and further Liberty’s reputation as a great place to work.”
Animal Health International (AHI) is a global distributor of products, technology and support services for animal producers and has had a central warehouse in Liberty since 2006 used for inbound and outbound shipping of private label products, serving distribution centers all over the country, even into Hawaii.
