Network53 is a program offered by Liberty Public Schools for high school seniors and juniors. Network53 partners with the community and businesses to provide opportunities for students to have individual experiences for real world learning. Students are mentored by employers in professional settings that provide skills for their future.
My name is Carly, and I am a senior at Liberty High School. I have been interning with Liberty Economic Development Corporation since August 2022. I have gotten to do a handful of projects I would not have had the opportunity to do in a traditional classroom setting, like writing articles for magazines, creating blog posts (like this one), and helping with real-life clients! I enjoy the freedom and personalization Network53 offers me, like picking the internship site that will benefit me the most. This program has allowed me to immerse myself in the professional world and really learn how a business runs and operates. Business is not the only area in which Network53 offers internships; some of my classmates are at healthcare, architecture, and education sites, to name a few. I value and appreciate this experience because I will carry the skills I have learned into the next chapters of my life.
