It has been a busy summer for Liberty Public Schools, as they make preparations to welcome back students on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. You may have noticed several construction projects taking place around the district. These projects were made possible following the 82% “yes vote” on the April 2018 bond issue. The larger projects include additional classroom space at Liberty North High School, a performing arts center at Liberty High School, and a building addition at Franklin Elementary. An additional, several schools are receiving safety and security upgrades with construction at building entrances.

LPS continues to be one of the highest-performing school districts in the state and region, while taking pride in providing real-world experiences for students to prepare them for post-graduation. The district continues to see growth in its student population, with a pre K – 12 enrollment expected to top 12,800 during the 2019-2020 school year.

LPS is grateful for all of our business partners in the Liberty community who will regularly provide various real world learning opportunities for our students.

We are proud to be the home of the 2019 Missouri Superintendent of the Year, Dr. Jeremy Tucker! He was honored with this distinction last fall by the Missouri Association of School Administrators.
