Liberty Economic Development Corporation has announced a new program to support Liberty small businesses called LINK Business Facilitation. LINK offers free one-on-one confidential assistance to entrepreneurs in Liberty Missouri. LINK’s Business Facilitator will meet at a convenient time and place that works on the entrepreneur’s schedule and is the connector of resources that will guide business owners to the information or contact that can help them with any barriers they may have. LINK Business Facilitation is for all phases of business; start-up, growth cycles and succession and retirement planning.

Ralph Boots the Executive Director of LEDC recognized a need to provide support for small business owners in Liberty. After the Pandemic hit he decided it was time for LEDC to create a program to directly support these Entrepreneurs. Boots turned to Annette Weeks who is a Master Facilitator and Director of The Center for Entrepreneurship at Missouri Western State University to help implement the new program. Weeks trained LEDC staff member Jolinda McClintock to be the business facilitator for the program and will provide ongoing support for LINK Business Facilitation throughout the programs first year.

McClintock will work with LINK’s Resource Team which will consists of community leaders who are passionate about helping entrepreneurs for the betterment of the community. The role of the resource team is to support the facilitator’s work by brainstorming new, innovative or traditional strategies to assist small businesses.
